Hello! Thanks for visiting my site. My name is Brad Lane, and I am a freelance writer and photographer based in the beautiful Missoula, Montana. My primary focus these days is SEO-based blog content and long-form reported pieces, primarily focused on the outdoors and outdoor industry. I built much of my career on travel reporting but have been sticking closer to Montana over the past year, discovering all the hidden gems of the Treasure State.

Aside from travel reporting, I have authored a dozen magazine articles and developed several professional photos for print. I have also generated hundreds of commercial blog posts that add to my extensive Writing Portfolio.
Much of my work centers around travel and the Great Outdoors. I strive to relate my curiosities and interests to my readers. One of my favorite adventures so far is my 2016 thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail.
Delivering a student commencement speech upon graduating from the University of Iowa in 2012 was the first spark I needed to pursue a life of writing. I graduated with an accounting degree, but it’s been a real adventure as a freelance writer ever since. I can’t wait to share what comes next.
