Hello! Thanks for visiting my site. My name is Brad Lane, and I am a freelance writer and photographer currently based in Missoula, Montana.
Much of my ongoing work is for the online travel publication, PlanetWare, which use my specialties as an on-location travel writer.
Aside from travel reporting, I have authored a dozen magazine articles and developed several professional photos for print. I have also generated hundreds of commercial blog posts that add to my extensive Writing Portfolio.
Much of my work centers around travel and the outdoors. I strive to relate my curiosities and interests to my readers.
One of my favorite adventures so far is my 2016 thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. My most recent favorite place is the Crown of the Continent at my backdoor: Glacier National Park.
Delivering a student commencement speech upon graduating from the University of Iowa in 2012 was the first spark I needed to pursue a life of writing. I graduated with an accounting degree, but it’s been a real adventure as a freelance writer ever since. I can’t wait to share what comes next.
