Early in my freelance career, I hounded the editors at the Wenatchee World and Foothills Magazine to give me a shot. After plenty of persistence and a fair number of exasperated looks when I’d show up to the office, I secured my first magazine article.
I ended up publishing four articles for Foothills Magazine that year, which was a great honor for me, especially as it culminated in a cover story and interview piece regarding the non-profit Chelan-Douglas Land Trust.
